Nielsen and Galleria form strategic alliance

Galleria Retail Technology Solutions, the leading provider of retail and category optimization solutions, and Nielsen, the leading global provider of retail space management solutions, today formed a strategic alliance that will provide retailers with an end-to-end solution through Galleria’s Retail Optimization Solution Suite and Nielsen’s SPACEMAN® solutions.

  • Customer-Centric Merchandising - Using a retailer’s demand intelligence and store-specific data, the solution synchronizes the product assortment, space and inventory planning processes to create thousands of optimized merchandise plans in seconds. This enables retailers to execute a customer-centric merchandising strategy across hundreds of categories and stores in full recognition of the constraints applied by the supply chain, inventory requirements and in-store space.
  • Intelligent Store Optimization - This solution seamlessly optimizes and manages macro and micro space on a store-specific level. The solution enables retailers to re-proportion space at any level including the entire store, department, zone, aisle, category or sub-category to quickly understand the financial impact of change on their bottom line via a transparent “what if” analysis.
  • Behavioral Cluster Planning - The solution enables retailers and suppliers to optimize sales by clustering stores based on product performance data, such as historic sales, market or supplier information. The intuitive, user-friendly solution enables users to gain more insight into consumer behavior to satisfy their merchandising needs and achieve a faster return on investment.
