In today's demanding world of retail the importance placed on keeping your competitive edge has never been greater. Galleria understands the critical elements for successful retailing and delivers innovative technology that helps achieve increased sales, improved customer satisfaction, reduced inventory value and improved margin.

Leading retailers recognise that the days of increasing sales and enhancing shareholder value through new store openings and acquisition are all but over. In a saturated retail market, where the supply chain efficiencies have already been realised, retailers are turning to opportunities to improve bottom line performance through optimisation, trading better from a fixed store base. Vital in this process is the ability to deliver a store specific space and assortment policy, whilst maintaining the economies and supply chain efficiencies derived through central control.

Galleria has developed an industry first, unique solution able to produce “right first time” planograms on an automated basis. Galleria's automated micro space planning solution is delivering impressive results to those businesses that have already invested in this technology. Tesco Stores Ltd were the original pioneers in this arena but as expected others have been keen to follow.

The traditional approach of producing generic “one size fits all” planograms at a Head Office, which are then distributed to stores for interpretation and partial implementation, can be a thing of the past. Our automated micro space planning application enables any retailer to take traditionally produced template planograms, normally one per category, and transfers the merchandising logic to store-specific fixture details and assortments, resulting in store specific planograms that reflect the correct range, the actual fixture configuration and the local demand patterns.

We are also able to calculate product assortments at National, Store Cluster and Store specific levels, ensuring that the automated planograms include the optimum range.

Without question the ability to hold product, space and performance data at the level of an individual store, provides an immensely valuable database for any retailer. Galleria's data storage and information delivery capabilities provides our major clients, including Safeway plc. instant access to detailed information on individual stock levels, planogram compliance and product performance levels across their estates.
