Massive levels of data processing have been a long-standing issue within the retail industry. The Extendable Parallel Processing Array (EPPA) is Galleria's patent-pending solution to achieve the processing of business critical information at an affordable rate. It processes tasks in parallel, instead of the traditional serial approach, which removes the need for expensive clustering solutions. The system monitors and analyses workflow and automatically allocates available processing resources – from an array of up to a theoretical 65,000 processors – to the appropriate task.
Galleria believes that EPPA is the only system of its type on the market that enables massive amounts of data to be processed on standard Windows machines, without the need to spend a fortune on extra memory and processing power. It can be fully integrated with any INTEL hardware and software.
High level functionality includes:
Monitors active and queued processes and automatically assigns the required resource to optimize throughput.
Automatic load balancing.
Customer specified redundancy levels to ensure required availability.
Built from standard, low cost components.
Fully expandable by simply adding extra nodes to the existing array.
Built in n+1 redundancy.
